It's not indie, but it's an affordable primer that I've found works well for me personally, and is my go-to primer for doing skin swatches. All Aromaleigh website skin swatches done by me (100% of the product grids), are using this primer: NYX eyeshadow primer in skin tone. It's also available in white and black and average price is $7.
I know there are indie primers, but I've not personally used any. I share this one simply because it's worked so well, and so consistently for me for a long period of time, at a price point that fits for me.
