(volume down unless you want to hear a pig squealing for her breakfast! #farmlife ) Mica, in it's natural form! (Mica is a major ingredient in many shimmering cosmetics). Living in the Appalachian foothills, I come across mica "books" ( actually sheets of mica all clumped together like pages of a book), and mica embedded in granite, such as this. It shows up through natural erosion, after storms come through. Not far from me, is an ethical mica mining operation, where one of my pigment suppliers mines their mica. It's very abundant in these parts. There's some shore areas on the Chattooga river that sparkle due to high mica concentration 🥰
